Pride and Prejudice

Pride and Prejudice

Our pride (conscious and unconscious) often leads to prejudice, which in turn leads to dis-harmony and dis-ease. This has a negative impact on us as individuals, as well as on our family, friends, community and country. People are often unaware of the toxic and destructive nature of pride and prejudice.

In this series we will explore how unaware we can be of our own pride and prejudices, the damage they can do to our relationships; and how they can block our spiritual development and the achievement of our spiritual potential. As we learn together, we hope to become enlightened and challenged about our own assumptions and behaviours, to recognise our own prejudices and take the necessary action to overcome them.

The series takes place at our Sunday morning services at 10.15 a.m. in our church building on South Hill Road, Bracknell on the following dates. Our services include songs, prayer and video clips as well as a talk.

  • Sunday 25th June
  • Sunday 2nd July
  • Sunday 9th July

The event also includes tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits. Remix for 2-11 year olds and Unity for young people in school years 7-11 takes place at the same time as the service on the 2nd and 9th July. On the 25th June we will have a "Big Story" All Age service.
