Going Back to Move Forward
Lots of love to everyone in the EBC family and to anyone checking us out online! We’re really sorry not to be able to gather physically at this time, but I am convinced that God will work through all this to draw people closer together relationally and closer to Him spiritually. Below, you will find a link to the latest of our short talks – this time from Rob Lea - that we will be releasing for you to watch each weekend.
Once you have watched the video, we encourage you to reflect on the bible text and join us in the prayer that follows below.

Reading from Philippians chapter 4, verses 6 and 7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer & Reflection
Lord God, you are the great shepherd – our shepherd. Because of your love and your provision we have everything that we need; thank you! And thank you also for giving us our spiritual strength and for renewing it each and every day.
Lord, we are comforted by your continuous presence in the face of coronavirus and even death. And because of your love, demonstrated by Jesus’ great sacrifice on the cross, when the time comes for us to leave this earth, we know that we will be with you forever.
Amen.
Questions to Consider
1. What are you anxious about right now?
2. Even though you might be anxious, are you still thanking God?
3. What can you go back to in your life that will help any anxiety today?
4. What can you go back to in the bible that will strengthen you today and for the future?
5. Have you committed to memory the Philippians verses above? What are you waiting for?
