Readings:

Psalm 23 (NKJV)

A Psalm of David

23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIVUK)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

Prayer & Reflection

Father, thank you that you are our Good Shepherd and that you go before us, you walk alongside us and you follow behind us. Thank you for your love, mercy and protection. Father, lead us into new pastures this year. Help us to represent you well on the journey. By your Spirit, help us to show our love for you in our love for other people. Help us to trust you with all our hearts and submit to your good, pleasing and perfect will for our lives. In Jesus’ name, and for your glory. Amen.

Questions to Consider

1. What are your desires for 2021? What do you want to head in the direction of? Better health? Relationships? Fulfilment? What kind of adventures might lie ahead?
2. What can you plan into your itinerary? What will you do?
3. Physically – what are you investing into it? Remember, the best exercise and the best diet are the ones you’ll do!
4. Relationally – who do you want to invest in, and what are you investing into them?
5. Spiritually – how are you starting out each day? I recommend the bible! Try reading a psalm and a proverb every day.
6. For 2021, what are your intentions? Your fears, hopes and dreams? Write them down. Pray into them. Ask God to help you with them every day.
7. Write down the names of the names of the people you love and pray for them every day.

I am New

Welcome from all of us at Easthampstead Baptist Church!

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. As you explore our website, we hope that you catch a broader glimpse of what EBC is all about. It's about people - people just like you - who want to embark on a journey to discover more of God and his will for our lives.

What should I expect on a Sunday Morning?

Sometimes going to a church for the first time can be a little daunting. I promise we won't bite! To help ease any uncertainties below are the answers to some common questions people have before attending a Sunday morning.

What do I have to wear?
We are a 'come as you are' sort of people and have no formal dress-code for our Sunday services.
We can assure you that we don't have bouncers on the door vetting your attire!
If you are still not sure, feel free to check out our services on YouTube to have an idea.

What time do I need to be there?
At the moment we have one Sunday morning service which starts at 10.00am
.
On the 4th Sunday of the month we run our All-sorts service which starts at 10:00am.

Check out our other services below!

We would recommend you turn up 10 minutes before the service starts so you have a chance to say hi!
If you have children that need signing in to the children and youth work, they need to be signed in from 10:50am.

Parking
There is plenty of parking both out the front and at the back of the building. Just follow the signs!

How safe is my child in your care?
We run separate children and youth work during our 10:00am service, which is run by a group of volunteers who have all been DBS checked.

Children ages 11 and under must be signed in and out by their parent/carer. The youth can sign themselves in and out.
