Readings:
Romans chapter 12 verses 9 - 10
9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.
John chapter 13 verses 34 - 35
34 ‘A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.’
1 Peter chapter 3, verse 8
8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
Prayer & Reflection
Lord I thank you that you call us to be a united body. That we achieve so much more when we work together, when we love each other. I pray we learn to put aside our egos, put aside our pride and humbke ourselves to love each other as Christians.
AMEN
Questions to Consider
1. How can we be the united body of Christ and not just a room full of Christians?
2. Who can you think of that you need to reconcile with in the church?
3. What is holding you back from loving others as Jesus loves you?
4. Are you actively involved in a life group? How would it help if you were?
