Members of our Elders Team
Steph has been a part of EBC since the mid 70’s. She started working for the church as a Pastoral Assistant over 20 years ago and is now ordained and the part time minister; working alongside Simon Lace our Team Leader. Steph also leads our Elders team and has responsibility for overseeing our 'Life Groups' and pastoral care at EBC. At home she, enjoys gardening and loves to play in the church ukulele band. She is married to Don and has two grown up sons - Lewis and Liam.
Simon has been a part of EBC for many years. A Sports Science graduate and lifelong fitness enthusiast, Simon managed health clubs for about 20 years. He still likes to dabble in weight training and cycling, alongside other hobbies which include playing the guitar and fish keeping. Joining our staff team in 2009, Simon initially lead our Senior Ministry before becoming Ministry Director in 2015, continuing to lead our Seniors work whilst also providing line-management to our Youth and Children's Ministries, Refresh Cafe and EBC Storehouse. In 2017, Simon was asked by the church to take on overall leadership of our church, working along our Minister, Steph Littlejohn. Simon is married to Claire and they have two children - Samson and Harry.
Jacque has been at EBC for many years and is one of our Elders. She heads up our prayer teams and is part of EBC's prayer ministry. Jacque coordinates prophetic words and pictures given to the church.
Rob has also been at EBC for many years. He took early retirement a few years ago having been a Senior Manager with ICI. As well as being on our Leadership Team, Rob is also our Church Treasurer and a part of our Elders Team. He is on our preaching team and is often seen conducting interviews at our Songs of Praise service. Rob has two grown up chlidren and three grandchildren.
Peter has been at EBC since he was a child. He and his wife Janet have served in the church in all sorts of different ways over the years. Now retired, he worked for 40 years at the Transport Research Laboratory in Crowthorne, becoming a world expert on road surfaces. He is one of our Elders; preaches; regularly plays piano and guitar in the band on Sunday mornings and at Songs of Praise; and is also part of the team leading the Thursday Service. He loves anything to do with railways. He is married to Janet, has 3 grown-up children and 7 grand-children.
