Family values 4

Every year we remind ourselves of why we do church at EBC the way we do! Sometimes this means we look at our values (Care, Commitment, Community, Celebration and Communication) but this time we are talking about our Purpose, our Vision, our Mission and our Method. Join us this June as we get explain and explore why we think we’re put on this earth (our purpose), what God’s mission for us to be involved in is (our mission), what we want to see EBC becoming (our vision) and how we’re trying to go about it all (our method). Strap in for the ride!

Sunday 2nd June: ‘Family Values: Purpose’.
Ever wondered what your purpose in life is? Our purpose statement at EBC says that “We exist to love God, love people, and grow together to become more like Jesus”. Where did this this come from and why does it matter?

Sunday 9th June: ‘Family Values: Mission’.
In the movie The Blues Brothers, the title characters Jake & Elwood kept insisting that they were on a mission from God. But what really is God’s mission and what does that mean for us?

Sunday 16th June: ‘Family Values: Vision’.
At EBC we have been on a journey over a long time as we pursue our vision of church as it should be. This has involved some key books, a few team trips to Atlanta and an ongoing commitment to make our church a place that people who don’t “do church” love to become a part of…

Sunday 23rd June: ‘Family Values: Method’.
So we know our purpose and our mission, and we have a clear vision of what EBC will look like if we live out our purpose and pursue our God-given mission! But how exactly do we go about putting it all into practice? Find out about how the evangelism funnel, the power of invitation and the move towards a richer understanding of fruitfulness on the frontline…

Sunday 30th June: Funday Sunday!
Come and be a part of our busiest Sunday of the year! It’s fun, it’s family, it’s a motley crew of misfits in action showing some love to the community – all aboard for BBQ, bouncy castles, face painting and hundreds and hundreds of visitors!

I am New

Welcome from all of us at Easthampstead Baptist Church!

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about us. As you explore our website, we hope that you catch a broader glimpse of what EBC is all about. It's about people - people just like you - who want to embark on a journey to discover more of God and his will for our lives.

What should I expect on a Sunday Morning?

Sometimes going to a church for the first time can be a little daunting. I promise we won't bite! To help ease any uncertainties below are the answers to some common questions people have before attending a Sunday morning.

What do I have to wear?
We are a 'come as you are' sort of people and have no formal dress-code for our Sunday services.
We can assure you that we don't have bouncers on the door vetting your attire!

If you are still not sure, feel free to check out our services on YouTube to have an idea.

What time do I need to be there?
We run two Sunday morning services which start at 9:30am and 11:00am.
On the 4th Sunday of the month we run our All-sorts service which starts at 10:00am.

Check out our other services below!

We would recommend you turn up 10 minutes before the service starts so you have a chance to say hi!
If you have children that need signing in to the children and youth work, they need to be signed in from 10:50am.

Parking
There is plenty of parking both out the front and at the back of the building. Just follow the signs!

How safe is my child in your care?
We run separate children and youth work during our 11:00am service, which is run by a group of volunteers who have all been DBS checked.

Children ages 11 and under must be signed in and out by their parent/carer. The youth can sign themselves in and out.
